Dear Patients,
An important update regarding my work at Logan Skin Clinic
After almost nine years providing skin cancer care at Logan Skin Clinic, from August 2026 I will be reducing my time at the clinic as I consolidate my clinical work at MyLocalDoc Wishart.
This has not been an easy decision. I have greatly valued my time at Logan Skin Clinic and feel privileged to have cared for so many patients over the years. To my longstanding patients in particular, thank you for the trust you have placed in me. It has been a privilege to support you through skin checks, procedures, treatment and ongoing cancer surveillance.
Over the past year, I have taken on the role of Clinical Lead Doctor at MyLocalDoc Wishart, where our general practice team has grown to 12 doctors. The increasing needs of the practice require me to spend more time supporting our doctors, nurses and broader clinical team. Consolidating my work will also allow for a more sustainable balance between my professional responsibilities, family and future volunteer work.
From August, I will continue working at Logan Skin Clinic on Fridays only for a transition period, seeing existing patients. These sessions will focus on completing outstanding treatment and follow-up, reviewing unresolved clinical matters and assisting with the appropriate handover of ongoing care.
Logan Skin Clinic has a highly capable and experienced team of doctors who will continue to provide skin checks, treatment and ongoing surveillance. I have great confidence in my colleagues and will assist with handover where appropriate to support continuity of care. For many patients, particularly those living in Logan and surrounding areas, remaining at Logan Skin Clinic will continue to be the most practical and convenient option.
I will continue providing skin cancer care at MyLocalDoc Wishart during designated skin cancer sessions, alongside my general practice responsibilities. Some may wish to continue seeing me at Wishart, while others may prefer to remain with the experienced team at Logan Skin Clinic. I am grateful to be making this transition with the knowledge, support and goodwill of the Logan Skin Clinic team. My priority is to ensure that each patient has access to safe, appropriate and continuous care. Any transfer of relevant medical information can be arranged with patient consent through the usual privacy and administrative processes.
I sincerely thank the doctors, nurses, administrative staff and leadership team at Logan Skin Clinic for their friendship, support and collegiality.
Most importantly, thank you for allowing me to be involved in your care. The trust placed in a doctor is something I have never taken lightly, and I remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to have supported you.
